In this update: 1. Production and Shipping update 2. Backerkit Lock Down
It’s way past due for an update – sorry!
Around the 11th of June we should have all parts assembled. For a final "first" real product. We just received the final glass blasted aluminium tubes, and they look and really nice. All the internal locking mechanisms are going through thorough inspections, as tolerances are +-0.1mm and need tiny adjustments to fit inside each tube after each test.
Currently we are doing extensive user testing to pinpoint areas that need our immediate attention before mass production. Respondents from the user test will also be helpful with info on how our final user guide will be.
On our Kickstarter campaign we where aiming for production start in May – and start Shipping in June. At the moment it looks like we are to start shipping in July instead. We will send out an update around the 17th of June when all parts from the factory are assembled. Apologies for this delay, i know some of you where looking forward to using it in June already. :-(
Backerkit lock down: On Monday June 4th we will be locking down all answered surveys and charging/refunding credit cards.
Please make sure that your order is 100% correct. Delivery addresses can be changed until we start the fulfilment process. We will let you know in due time. We are still 611 Surveys short: It’s very important for us to get you through the Survey so our order with the factory, and our budgets can be matched up with initial orders on Kickstarter.
